social media, instagram, twitter, snapchat, social media detox
STRANGE FORMAT, I KNOW. I wanted to try something new. Anyway, I hope you liked and please exercise your right to freedom of speech in the comments below, I would love to read and debate with you.

-Dalal 🍑our obsession with social media as bloggers

  1. This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately and actually realising I do. I don't obsess over my instagram theme or having perfect social media but the idea of spending a long period of time without any social media is quite daunting. Sometimes I feel angry that we had to grow up with all these added pressures and issues because we were born into this time. I know its positives outweighs its negatives but it really scares me, the growth of technology! I went to get some chips from Burger King (don't ask) and i literally had to insert my note into a machine RIGHT NEXT TO THE GUY AT THE TILL and it spat my money out. Even. though. there. was. a. human. being. at. the till. ok.

    1. I agree, even to me it is. We can't really help the fact that we were born in a time were technology was (and still is) growing. It's crazy to think that in 10-20 years, human interaction in stores will be little to none. I attended a talk about it all and apparently a high percentage of jobs in the future don't even exist yet...crazy. Thanks for the comment ediee

  2. YOU SHOULD TRY TO DITCH YOUR PHONE FOR A WEEK AND SEE HOW YOUR EXPERIENCE WAS(YES I HAVE DONE IT MYSELF FOR 1 MONTH AND IT WAS HELL) AS THERE ARE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES TO IT WE CAN BE SAD ABOUT HOW DEPENDANT WE ARE ON THEM OR SEE JUST HOW FAR MANKIND HAS GONE IN JUST A FEW DECADES. YES WE HAVE BEEN GLUED TO OUR 4INCH MOTHERBOARDS BUT WE CAN NOW COMMUNICATE AND ALSO SEND AID TOO PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD.FIGHT ME DALAL.

  3. I have been thinking a lot about it lately. I guess a while ago when blogging was not a thing and social media not really developed, people were just finding blogs and that was it. Now social media are used to find blogs so blogger want to be out there... but yes being on social media all the time is so tired! xx corinne

  4. This is so interesting to read! I am a bit addicted to social media but have recently been leaving my phone in a drawer for a few hours which is helping me de-stress a bit xx

  5. I know exactly how you feel. I do like social media and I'll admit if I don't think I could go a few days without having a nosey at it because I'd be so bored lol but I have started to leave my phone in my room and just forget about it all for a couple hours or so a day. Also I've been blogging for less than a year but I've seen a huge change in some bloggers attitude and turning it into more of a competition. I'm going to lie, I do get excited when I hit a milestone (who doesn't?) but it should be about writing about things you're excited to tell the world about and passionate about :) x
